At the Riverina Cancer Care Centre volunteers form an integral part of our service. Volunteering can be fun together with a very rewarding experience. The Riverina Cancer Care Centre was established through the generosity and enormous drive from the community of the Riverina. The wonderful service provided to cancer patients at the Riverina Cancer Care Centre as it stands today is very much due to the strong sense of community spirit through a team of over fifty (50) volunteers supporting day to day activities.
Many of our volunteer roles don’t require any experience or specialists skills but do require a caring nature. Currently we have volunteers involved with but not limited to the following areas:
- Patient support
- Patient transport service
- Patient information
- Data Management
- General support tasks
- Floral arrangements
If you’re interested in this very rewarding and important role at the Riverina Cancer Care Centre please don’t hesitate to contact our Volunteers Coordinator on (02) 6932 1000 or alternatively drop into the centre and let our friendly reception staff know you’re interested in becoming a Riverina Cancer Care Centre Volunteer.
